Samsung Galaxy S25+

Design: Premium, Balanced, and Easier on the Hands

The S25+ hits that Goldilocks zone at 196 grams and 158.5 x 75.9 x 7.7 mm bigger than the S25 (167g, 6.2-inch) for better media viewing, but not as chunky as the Ultra (232g, 6.8-inch). The titanium frame feels solid and lighter than the S24+’s aluminum, with rounded corners that make it comfy for long scrolls. I snagged Cobalt Violet, which has this cool shimmer other options like Onyx Black or Marble Gray are sleek too, plus exclusives like Jade Green online.

Gorilla Glass Victus 2 front/back, IP68 survived a rainy run no issue. The flat screen is a win over older curved Ultras no edge distortions or accidental taps. Versus iPhone 16 Pro’s flat design, Samsung’s matte sides grip better. It’s not as pocketable as the S25, but way more usable than the Ultra for one-handed stuff.

Display: Stunning QHD+ That’s Bright and Sharp

That 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X with QHD+ resolution (1440 x 3120, ~513 PPI) is a beast sharper than the S25’s FHD+ and brighter at 2600 nits than the S24+’s 1750. HDR10+ makes movies explode with color, and LTPO 1-120Hz adapts perfectly for battery savings. Anti-reflective coating cuts glare like magic outdoors readability crushes the iPhone 16 Pro.

Always-on display with AI-powered Now Bar shows timely info (timers, media controls) without unlocking. Versus Ultra’s 6.9-inch, the S25+ feels less overwhelming for daily use, but still immersive for Netflix or split-screen multitasking.

Performance: Snapdragon Power with On-Device AI Magic

Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy with 12GB RAM it’s overkill smooth. Heavy gaming (Wuthering Waves on ultra), 8K editing, no throttle thanks to a 15% larger vapor chamber than S24+. Geekbench scores blow away the S24 series, and on-device AI means no cloud lag for features. Versus iPhone 16 Pro’s A18 Pro, Samsung’s multitasking and DeX for desktop mode feel more flexible.

Storage 256/512GB UFS 4.0, no microSD. One UI 7 on Android 15 7 years updates till 2032! Wi-Fi 6E (Ultra has 7), Bluetooth 5.3, UWB. Satellite SOS worked in a remote hike.

Galaxy AI is the star: Circle to Search for quick lookups, Live Translate crushed a multilingual call, Generative Edit fixed blurry group pics perfectly. ProScaler upscales old videos to look sharp on QHD+. Interpreter for face-to-face chats, Photo Assist removes objects seamlessly. Versus S25, same power but bigger screen makes AI editing nicer; iPhone’s Apple Intelligence is good, but Samsung’s feels more playful and integrated.

Cameras: Excellent Everyday Shooter with AI Boost

50MP main (f/1.8 OIS), 12MP ultra-wide, 10MP 3x telephoto same as S25 but ProVisual Engine and AI make colors more natural, low-light cleaner. Night mode is pro-level, portraits pop with better skin tones. AI Instant Slow-Mo adds frames to videos smoothly, Generative Edit extends backgrounds or removes photobombers.

12MP selfies sharp with portrait video. 8K 30fps, 4K 120fps stable. Versus Ultra’s 200MP and 50MP 5x, S25+ is “good enough” for most no big zoom, but 3x handles portraits fine. Beats iPhone 16 Pro in vibrant colors; Apple wins consistency. Bigger screen than S25 makes framing shots easier.

Software and Battery: Smart Endurance Champ

One UI 7 AI-heavy: Note Assist summarizes meetings, Sketch to Image turns doodles into art, Cross App Action voice-controls multiple apps. Battery 4900 mAh lasts 1.5-2 days (8-9 hours screen), way better than S25’s 4000 mAh and efficient like iPhone. 45W charging full in ~65 min, 15W wireless, reverse wireless.

Price and Final Thoughts

Launch $999 (256GB), now ~$800-900 discounted in November 2025. Steal over Ultra ($1299) if you skip S Pen/zoom.

The S25+ is my favorite of the lineup big QHD+ screen/battery, full AI power, without Ultra bulk. Iterative cameras, but AI makes up for it. Versus S25, worth extra for size/endurance; crushes iPhone for Android fans. 9.5/10 perfect “big but not too big” flagship!
